Legal & Data Protection

Privacy Policy

Effective Date: October 18, 2026 | Last Updated: October 18, 2026

1 Introduction & Scope

Welcome to Atlantic Trade US (https://atlantictrade.us/). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the business and personal data you share with us. This Privacy Policy details our practices concerning data collection, processing, protection, and your legal rights under applicable United States federal and state laws (including the California Consumer Privacy Act / CCPA as amended by CPRA, and the Illinois Personal Information Protection Act).

This policy applies to all visitors of our website, businesses submitting company listings, prospective buyers inquiring about international catalogs, and participants connecting with our trade exhibition delegations.

2 Information We Collect

We collect information in three primary ways:

  • Company Listing Submissions: When you submit a company to our directory via the "Add your company" form, we collect the company name, business email, phone or WhatsApp contact number, country of origin, target industry category, and product/export capacity details.
  • Quote & Meeting Inquiries: When you request a commercial quotation or book a meeting at an upcoming trade exhibition, we collect your name or business entity, contact email, and the specific inquiry or partnership requirements.
  • Security & Analytics Telemetry: When you search or navigate industries on our platform, our backend systems record search keywords and category clicks alongside anonymized timestamps and client IP addresses. IP logging is maintained strictly for brute-force protection, request rate-limiting (anti-spam / anti-scraping), and service integrity.

3 How We Use Your Information

The information we collect is utilized strictly for legitimate B2B business purposes:

Trade Facilitation

Verifying supplier qualifications, connecting international producers with US & Canadian buyers, and routing RFQs to verified exporters.

Platform Security

Enforcing rate limits (max requests/min), preventing brute-force attacks, and safeguarding our databases with server-side atomic controls.

Demand Analysis

Identifying market demand gaps (zero-result searches) to onboard high-demand manufacturers for American buyers.

Direct Inquiries

Responding to requests for door-to-door delivery, customs clearance inquiries, and trade expo on-site meeting reservations.

4 We Do NOT Sell Your Personal Information

Atlantic Trade does not sell, lease, or monetize your personal or company data to data brokers or third-party advertisers. We do not engage in cross-context behavioral advertising. Any data shared is strictly necessary to fulfill your request: for example, forwarding your quote inquiry to the specific verified manufacturer you chose to contact.

5 Data Storage, Security & Retention

We employ state-of-the-art technological and physical security controls to protect your data:

  • Encryption: All web traffic is encrypted using standard Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.2+ / HTTPS).
  • Server-Side File Protection: Database files (*.json) are protected at the web-server level (.htaccess / deny rules) and cannot be downloaded publicly.
  • Retention: Inquiry and company listing records are retained only as long as necessary to facilitate commercial trade engagements, verify supplier credentials, or comply with statutory recordkeeping obligations.

6 Your Privacy Rights (California & US States)

Under US consumer and state privacy laws (including the California Consumer Privacy Act / CPRA):

  • Right to Know: You have the right to request what personal information we collect, use, or disclose.
  • Right to Delete: You have the right to request deletion of your submitted contact details or company listing.
  • Right to Correct: You have the right to request correction of inaccurate business or contact records.
  • Non-Discrimination: We will never discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at tp@atlantictrade.us with the subject line "Privacy Rights Request".

7 Cookies & Local Storage

We do not use invasive third-party tracking or advertising cookies. We use minimal, essential browser local storage:

  • theme: Stores your preference for Dark or Light visual mode.
  • atlantic_search_stats: Local client-side cache of recent search keywords for rapid autocomplete and zero latency.
